Facilities for people with disabilities

There is a smooth hardcore car park near a disabled fishing area. The area is accessible to wheelchairs via a short concrete path. Anglers should note that this is a reservoir, where low water levels can sometimes make fishing inaccessible to disabled anglers.

Anglers must use official entrances. Do not trespass on adjoining lands or obstruct roadways or gate entrances with parked cars.

How to get there

From Belfast, take the M5 and A2 to Carrickfergus. As you go into Carrickfergus take the B58 towards Ballynure. Travel for 6.5km until you see the reservoir on the left.
