This is the first (of what I hope will be many) catch report, reporting news on catches across Northern Ireland. Whether it be a club run match or a round-up of catches from a private fishery, Go Fishing NI’s Catch Report aims to cover it all. This report will also be used to allow clubs and fisheries to post event details too as well as using our new page http://gofishingni-co-uk.stackstaging.com/latest-events/
So granted, not a lot in this weeks report, but hopefully as the weeks go by, the interest will increase. If you do have a report to send, then please do so by Tuesday of each week to firstname.lastname@example.org – The report will be published each Wednesday morning. Thank you to this weeks contributors – Fairline Fishing Club and Rectory Lodge Trout Fishery
Tight Lines for the week ahead everyone!
A beautifully still Autumn morning at Loughgall. Off to a good start with a 6lb 12oz pike caught after just 10 minutes! In the end seven pike were landed and several runs missed. Well done to Alan Foye, who won the match with two pike for 15lb, including a fine specimen at 12lb 4oz. Second place was Andrew Herron with two pike for 10lb, and third was Lee Bantting with three jack pike. All fish safely returned to the water.
